About Earth Hour!

I think this is a fantastic "program". Usually when we dont use some electrical things, we just leave them in standbay mode, and I think we use to much energy on the world. So that's why Earth hour is important so we can clean this planet. You know if we do just a little thing for the world we able to proceed step by step towards to the healthy planet. By the way, in my country we have done it before a couple of mounth. I love it!!!

My story

My name is Geva. I'm an independent teacher, choreographer and performer.

I moved to Australia at the beginning of 2006. I hav been teaching dance since 1983 and specilises in contemporary technique, yoga and yogadance.

I graduated from the National General Education Centre, Methodology Institute, Modern Dance Educator Division, and I studied at many international workshops and completed my training with the best European dance masters.

After dancing with the Berger Dance Company for 10 years as a founding member, I worked on several projects as a freelance dancer and choreographer until founding my own company in 1998.

Through GEVA Dance Theatre, I worked on promoting dance and dance culture working mainly with graduate students of dance. The past 8 years I have choreographed and performed 10 major works.

I taught contemporary and modern dance for future dance masters at the Hungarian University of Physical Education, Hungarian Classical Dance Academy and at Budapest Dance School.

My specialty is Limon technique, exploring use of energy in relation to gravity and working with weight, coordinating the movements of the body, emphasising on falling, rebound, recovery and suspension. I can teache both original and contemporary Limon.

Since 2000 I have also been teaching yogadance. That encompasses ancient yoga philosophy, deep breathing, asanas, modern dance techniques, body and self awareness.

My philosophy is to achieve the balance of structure and flow of energy, peace and harmony.

I enjoy my work!
